Mavis Simpson-Ernst, age 9, is a young professional actress, singer and dancer based in New York City. She is thrilled to be currently performing on Broadway in Evita at the Marquis Theater. Mavis recently returned from the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary National Tour during which she performed in 19 cities around the United States.

Mavis started taking ballet at age 2 and has been acting, singing and dancing ever since. Other credits include: Once On This Island (Little Ti Moune), Kidz Theater; Annie (Molly), Kidz Theater; The Sound of Music (Gretl), Kidz Theater; Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Birdhouse Players; Annie (Lily St. Regis), Birdhouse Players; and The Magic Flute (Spirit), Greenwich House Music School. Mavis is truly living her dream and loving every minute of it! When she is not performing Mavis enjoys being with her family, playing with her amazing friends, riding her bicycle, designing clothes, drawing, painting and writing.

Mavis is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.
